Akeem Olatunji To Renovate Oluyole Legislative Building After Years Of Dilapidation
The executive chairman of Oluyole local government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji has ordered immediate and comprehensive assessment of the council's legislative building with plans to commence renovation earnestly. The Council boss made the declaration yesterday, May 31 shortly after officially inaugurating the 10 members of Oluyole legislature at Idi-Ayunre, the LG Secretariat. Olatunji lamented over the state of the legislative building describing it as an eyesore unbefitting of human habitation for any reason. Consequently, Olatunji directed the department of works to immediately carry out a comprehensive assessment of the facility and come up with recommendations and cost implication for its renovation. Investigation revealed after an on the spot assessment that the legislative building has been locked up for years, thereby, depriving the local government Councilors access into the facility to carry out their statutory legislative business. He emphasized the importance of providing
