TikTok Removes Four Million ‘Violative’ Videos In September

 TikTok and 18 other platforms fall into that category for heightened EU scrutiny, because they have at least 45 million monthly users in the bloc. TikTok said Wednesday it pulled four million “violative” videos in the EU in September, in its first transparency report since a new law against illegal and harmful content came into force across the bloc. The Chinese-owned video-sharing platform favoured by younger online users also stressed that it has 6,125 employees whose job is to moderate content in the European Union, in all its national languages. The figures were given as part of TikTok’s obligation under the EU’s new Digital Services Act (DSA) for major online platforms to provide a transparency report every six months. Justice Kareem Adeyimika Adedokun the presiding judge of the Oyo State High Court 2 Ogbomoso Judicial Division, will today, October 25, deliver judgement in a case between Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye and Prince Kabiiru Muhammed Olaoye. Justice Adedokun had reserved judgement in the case during sitting on October 3. Prince Kabir Olaoye in July 2022, dragged then Prince Ghandi Olaoye to the court over his nomination as Soun of Ogbomosoland by the Ogbomoso kingmakers. The defendants include the Oyo state governor, Oyo state attorney general, Oyo state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, Ogbomoso North local government, Ogbomoso North traditional council and Prince Amos Olawole Olaoye (Mogaji Olaoye ruling house) who are 1st to 6th defendants respectively.
