8th Day Fidau: Late Alhaji Waheed Kola Salami Lived An Accomplished, Fulfilled Life–Governor Makinde
The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, has expressed condolences to the Salami family over the departure of their patriarch, Alhaji Waheed Kola Salami, who passed away last week at an advanced age of 80 years. Represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Segun Ogunwuyi, Makinde described the Salami family patriarch as an accomplished and fulfilled man who left behind laudable legacies in the quality of children making great impacts within the society among which is Architect Salam Azeez. While speaking at the 8th day Fidau prayer, an Islamic funeral rite, attended by numerous dignitaries in Ibadan on Monday, July 22, Ogunwuyi urged the bereaved family to take solace in the will of God Almighty the giver and taker of all life. He prayed God repose the soul of the departed and grant the bereaved family fortitude to bear the pain of his passing while calling on the children to remain united and strong in their faith in God.
