Makinde installed as Jagunmolu of Ondo Kingdom at Osemawe’s 70th birthday

  Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has declared that the traditional institution remains important to the socioeconomic development of the country, pointing out that Obas should be integrated into all efforts by states to develop the society. Governor Makinde stated this on Friday, while delivering the guest lecture entitled “the role of traditional institutions in socioeconomic development in Nigeria,” during the 70th birthday anniversary and 17th Coronation Anniversary of Oba Dr Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo, CFR, held at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo, Ondo State. The governor, who was later installed as the Jagunmolu of Ondo Kingdom at the Osemawe palace, congratulated Oba Kiladejo on his 70th birthday and 17th coronation anniversary, stating that Ondo Kingdom had witnessed unprecedented developments under his reign. Reps Committee Summons FIRS, Immigration Over Failure To Render Account

  The House of Representatives has issued summons for appearance to the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Metrological Agency, Nigerian Immigration Service, Niger State Command, Investment and Security Tribunal, and the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria to appear before the Public Accounts Committee on Tuesday next week to answer queries issued against them by the Auditor General for the Federation. At the hearing of the committee held on Thursday, members described the actions of the agencies as unacceptable especially in view of the previous invitations extended to them and the grievous nature of the allegations levelled against them in the 2019 Auditor General’s Report which have not been responded to. The Committee also directed the medical director of the federal medical centre, Keffi, Nassarawa State to appear on Tuesday next week with necessary documents in support of various expenditure totaling about 10 Billion Naira queried by the Auditor Gen
