Since 29th May, 2019 when the Peoples Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE assumed the seat as the Executive Governor of Oyo State, his commitment to bolstering security measures in Oyo State is commendable. By providing essential infrastructure for security operatives, he is actively working towards creating a safer environment for residents and attracting investors. It's important to prioritize security to ensure the well-being and prosperity of the state. This includes operational vehicles, walkie-talkies, steel helmets, bulletproof jackets, combat boots, and other crucial security equipment. Notably, the establishment of the southwestern security network, codenamed AMOTEKUN, on January 9th, 2020, marked a pivotal moment. Governor Makinde, in collaboration with other Southwest governors, championed this initiative, successfully launching it in Ibadan, the political hub of Nigeria.
