The executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Engineer Akeem Olatinji, has announced a comprehensive restructuring of the security architecture in the council. The move became exigent and necessary as part of his administration's proactive efforts towards addressing the rising concerns of kidnapping and other criminal activities along the Oyo/Ogun border at Ijebu. Olatunji disclosed this while speaking with journalists shortly after an expanded political stakeholders meeting held in his office at Idi-ayunre, the local government Secretariat.  Recall that there have been several reports of attacks in Oluyole especially along Lagos-Ibadan express, Onigambari and Oyo/Ogun border along Ibadan-Ijebu road including one reported attack in December, 2023 when seven persons were allegedly kidnapped along the Fidiwo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday just as one person was reportedly shot dead while escaping the attack. Akeem Olatunji To Renovate Oluyole Legislative Building After Years Of Dilapidation

The executive chairman of Oluyole local government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji has ordered immediate and comprehensive assessment of the council's legislative building with plans to commence renovation earnestly.  The Council boss made the declaration yesterday, May 31 shortly after officially inaugurating the 10 members of Oluyole legislature at Idi-Ayunre, the LG Secretariat.  Olatunji lamented over the state of the legislative building describing it as an eyesore unbefitting of human habitation for any reason.  Consequently, Olatunji directed the department of works to immediately carry out a comprehensive assessment of the facility and come up with recommendations and cost implication for its renovation.  Investigation revealed after an on the spot assessment that the legislative building has been locked up for years, thereby, depriving the local government Councilors access into the facility to carry out their statutory legislative business.
