AFCON 2023: Nigeria and Angola Set to Face Off in Thrilling Quarter-Finals as Oyo State Government Provides 45 Free Viewing Centers for Football Enthusiasts



In an exciting turn of events, the highly anticipated quarter-final match between Nigeria and Angola in AFCON 2023 will be broadcasted for free in 45 viewing centers across Oyo State.  The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, has highlighted the purpose behind providing free viewing centers for football enthusiasts during AFCON 2023. "By creating an electrifying atmosphere, these viewing centers will allow football enthusiasts who are unable to attend the matches in person to still enjoy the excitement and support the Super Eagles" She noted that it will serve as a platform for youth from all zones to come together, not just to cheer the team but also to connect and interact with each other". "Commissioner said it will promote sports but also fosters unity and camaraderie among the youth in Oyo State".


Ibadan football lovers will have the match shown at Amphitheatre Adamasingba while the remaining 22 local government in Oyo, Ibarapa, Oke Ogun and Ogbomoso will have two accredited viewing centres for football enthusiasts per local government. The Ministry of Youth and Sports will also issue out the accredited venues out for the viewers before the match on February 2nd 2024.


The 45 viewing centers spread across Oyo State will ensure that fans from various communities can come together and cheer for Super Eagles. This initiative not only enhances the fan experience but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and support among the local community.
