The Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole ahead of the April 27 Council Poll, Akeem Olatunji has described Lawmaker representing Oyo East/west at the 10th state assembly as a huge asset to the legislature.

Olatunji said, young and progressive politicians like Hon. Olorunpoto portend hope for the future the nation's political landscape considering his passion and dedication to his people and legislative duties.

A statement by Olatunji on Saturday afternoon and made available to journalists felicitated the lawmaker on the occasion of his 40th birthday and celebration.

Olatunji, who equally commended Olorunpoto's immense contributions to the legislative institution within the short period of his being member of the 10th Oyo state House of Assembly urged him to sustain the spirit and not detail from his path.

"Progressivism is not a title or nomenclature that anybody or group of persons can lay claim to, it's a political philosophy that embodies consistent bridging of the gap between the old and new order and that's what my good friend and brother, Hon. Olorunpoto represents.

"An astute lawmaker with a clear vision on what he intends to achieve will go a long way in his political career so long as he remains focused, committed, and dedicated as always.

" Birthdays are just a time to reflect on how far we have come and how well God has been gracious unto us and I want to join thousands of his supporters and well wishers including his immediate family to celebrate Hon. Olorunpoto for being who he is not just to the PDP family in Oyo state but to the legislative institution at large.

"It is my earnest prayer that he would continue to grow and evolve politically because he is one of the young brains we're all proud of that's representing the very good people of Oyo East and west state constituency at the hallowed chambers of the state Assembly. " Olatunji said.
