Ramadan: "Imbibe the spirit of unity, compassion and generosity in the month of Ramadan " - Arapaja Charges Muslims.





 The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has charged the Muslim Communities in Nigeria and around the world on the need for unity of purpose, prayers, tolerance, generosity and peaceful co-existence as they commence this year Ramadan fasting.



Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja gave the charge while congratulating the Muslims on the commencement of the thirty days fasting in a statement he personally issued but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim in Ibadan.



Arapaja who thanked Almighty Allah for making the Muslim faithfuls to witness the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, emphasise the importance of love, charity, fairness and closeness to their creator in order to make the world a better place for all to live in. 



He said: "As we embark on this thirty days fasting period, I implore you all to uphold the virtues of love, introspection and compassion. It is a time to imbibe good neighborliness and extend a helping hand to the needy in our environment considering the economic situation in the country at the moment." 



Ambassador Arapaja who equally called on the Ummahs to use the period of fasting to pray for peace and steady progress in Nigerian economy, prayed Allah to see them through the 30 days period.
