OFFICIALLY: Akeem Olatunji Declared Winner Of Oluyole LG Election With 17, 063 Votes


Akeem Olatunji has been officially declared winner of the just concluded Local Government chairmanship election in Oluyole and duly returned Chairman-elect. 


Olatunji polled 17,063 votes to defeat his closest rival, the APC which secured 3,522 to emerge winner in a landslide victory. 


The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) Electoral Officer for Oluyole, Mr Olawale Aremu made this official announcement today April 28 at the OYSIEC state headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan. 


With an aggressive campaign focused on grassroots development and community empowerment, Olatunji garnered overwhelming support from residents across all ten wards of the local government area. 


His message of inclusive governance and commitment to addressing the pressing needs of the local government resonated strongly with voters leading to the massive turnout at the polls. 


The election results, announced by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), showcased Olatunji's commanding lead over his closest rivals, thereby cementing his position as the incoming Executive Chairman. 


In his brief remarks shortly after his official declaration as the chairman-elect, Olatunji expressed gratitude to the people of Oluyole for their overwhelming support and trust in him. 


He reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises and working tirelessly to uplift the lives of every citizen in the local government area. 


He acknowledged that expectations are high from the people of Oluyole assuring that he would hit the ground running immediately after his official swearing-in


Some of his supporters who spoke to newsmen said Olatunji's victory has raised hopes for improved infrastructure, healthcare services, education, and economic opportunities for residents of Oluyole.
