Oyo govt expedites action on Ido-Eruwa road reconstruction to enhance connectivity

In a significant stride towards enhancing infrastructural development and regional connectivity, the ongoing reconstruction of the 48-kilometer Ido-Eruwa Road is making steady progress.

This major project, spanning Ido and Ibarapa East Local Government Areas, is a crucial link between the Ibadan and Ibarapa zones of Oyo State.

According to verified sources from the government, the Ido-Eruwa road project was officially flagged off on February 2, 2023, by Governor Seyi Makinde, with a projected completion date in the fourth quarter of 2024. This initiative is part of Governor Makinde’s broader strategy to connect all five zones in Oyo State, thereby promoting economic activities and stemming rural-urban migration.

These significant milestones include linking the Ibadan and Oke Ogun zones, Oyo and Oke-Ogun zones, Ibarapa and Oke-Ogun zones, and the Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun zones.

Governor Makinde’s administration remains committed to fulfilling its promise of improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents by ensuring seamless transportation across the state.

The ongoing work on the Ido-Eruwa Road is a testament to this commitment, aiming to provide a durable and reliable road that will support the economic and social development of the region.

As the project progresses, residents of Ido and Ibarapa zones can look forward to a road that meets high standards of durability and sustainability, fostering increased connectivity and economic growth in Oyo State.
