Oyo Commissioner, Adegoke Unveils 5 -Day Programme of Events to Mark International Youth Day 2024

As the world prepares to celebrate International Youth Day on August 12, 2024, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke Adefemi, has unveiled a thrilling 5-day programme of events, showcasing the energy, creativity, and innovation of the state's young people. This year's theme, "Youth Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development," highlights the vital contribution of youth in driving progress and creating a better future for all.


The 5-day celebration, scheduled to take place from August 12-18, 2024, promises an array of engaging activities, including:


August 12 (Day 1)

- Awareness Walk/Environmental Clean Up

    - Venue: Secretariat, Favours - Bodija Market

    - Time: 12 noon


August 13 (Day 2)

- Visit to Correctional Centre

    - Venue: Agodi

    - Time: 10 am

- Business Fair/Exhibition for Young Entrepreneurs

    - Venue: Race Course Amphitheatre, inside Lekan Salami Sports Complex

    - Time: 1 pm


August 14 (Day 3)

- Entrepreneurship Seminar, Business Plan Pitch/Contest

    - Guest Speakers: [Insert names]

    - Venue: Western Hall, State Secretariat, Ibadan

    - Time: 10 am


August 15 (Day 4)

- Novelty Match

    - Venue: Olubadan Stadium
