Ile ASHA Annual Ramadan Lecture : Prominent Islamic Scholar, Sheik Buhari Ibn Musa, Oyo SUBEB Boss, Dr Adeniran Urges Muslims to Fulfill Their Basic Obligations



The Ile ASHA Annual Ramadan Lecture took place at Liberty Stadium, Oke - Ado Ibadan featuring an insightful speech by Dr. Adeniran, the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). His speech focused on the significance of Ramadan and emphasized the importance of Muslims discharging their basic obligations during this holy month.



Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran in his address shed light on various aspects of Ramadan, urging Muslims to embrace the essence of spirituality, self-discipline, and community welfare. Alh. Sheik Buhari Ibn Musa also shared that Ramadan holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims worldwide. It is a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and self-control. Dr. Nureni Adeniran as well emphasized that Ramadan provides an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their relationship with Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins. It is a time to purify the soul, engage in acts of charity, and develop empathy towards the less fortunate.




Alh. Sheik Buhari Ibn Musa who was the guest lecturer at the event,explained that Ramadan serves as a time for self-discipline and self-reflection, he encouraged Muslims to use this month to engage in self-introspection, evaluate their actions, and strive for self-improvement. He emphasized the importance of controlling one's desires and impulses, fostering patience and resilience, and abstaining from negative behaviors. By practicing self-discipline, Muslims can develop a stronger connection with their faith and enhance their character.



The ILE ASHA Annual Ramadan Lecture delivered by Alh. Sheik Buhari Ibn Musa, provided valuable insights into the significance of Ramadan and the importance of discharging basic obligations during this holy month. The lecture emphasized the essence of Ramadan, including self-discipline, self-reflection, community welfare, and solidarity. He highlighted the significance of reaching out to those in need, supporting charitable causes, and promoting unity among Muslims. He emphasized that Ramadan is not only about personal spiritual growth but also about uplifting the entire community. Muslims are encouraged to engage in acts of kindness, forgiveness, and reconciliation, fostering a harmonious and inclusive society.
